Update Your Bath

Trendy bathroom photo in Miami

There is a revolution happening in the Master Bath.  It all started with people putting antique claw foot bath tubs back in their baths.  Now the movement to replace the tub built into a tub deck with a free standing tub has taken hold.  Don’t those tub decks look heavy now?  Why did we feel we had to decorate the tub deck?  Certainly, as you look at these photos, serenity is the best description.  Being in the second decade of the Twenty-first Century, we want clean lines.  Clutter is a thing of the past.

Inspiration for a contemporary bathroom remodel in Miami

Picture yourself enjoying a soak in this tub with your glass of wine in the holder!  Yes, this could be you.  The tub becomes sculpture, as well as a most enjoyable place to relax for a time away from the busy lives we all lead.  Yes, this is a strong departure from the jetted tub in the tub decking, but this particular one is a timeless, elegant design.  In this setting it is sitting on Crema Marfil marble, but the contrast could be higher with a mid-range stone or tile and be just as elegant.  In the photo, the tub fill is free standing but with different tub designs, it can be attached to the tub.  There are many tub designs and sizes to choose from.  They can also be jetted, or have bubbles and fitted with colored lights.

The free standing tub is not complete without a chandelier above the tub.  In today’s world it most certainly can be LED and can be dimmed.  As you can see from the photo, we chose a sphere.  All of the fixtures are bronze creating a warm, intimate and more transitional space.  A free standing tub can adapt to the warmth of Castle Pines Village.
